The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Philippines’ central bank sign accord

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) signed on Friday an agreement with the Central Bank of Philippines to develop banking relations.
SBP Governor Tariq Bajwa and Daniel R. Espiritu, ambassador of Philippines in Pakistan, signed the agreement on bilateral central banking cooperation.
The agreement aims to extend bilateral cooperation in banking system, payments, settlements and other areas of mutual interest.
In pursuance of the SBP’s initiative regarding international cooperation with the banking regulatory authorities of different countries, this is the 19th agreement that the SBP has signed so far.
